LIGNUM AUREUM

Our Craft

A workshop in Clerkenwell, a discipline without compromise.

Atelier Lignum Aureum was born of a single conviction: the finest timepiece is the one that can never be replaced — neither by repair, nor by replica, nor by buying a second. Each Lignum Aureum is a singular act, and a singular promise.

We work at least fourteen rare woods — African Ebony, Macassar Ebony, Amboyna Burl, Cocobolo, Ziricote, Bog Oak — paired with 18ct yellow, rose and white gold, sterling silver and platinum. Each piece is designed once, made once, worn by a single person for a lifetime.

I

The Wood

Each billet is selected and aged for at least twelve years. We work only with felled, reclaimed or FSC-certified woods — never standing trees.

II

The Metal

18ct gold and sterling silver are cast, hammered and brushed by a single artisan, from start to finish. No piece shares the same hand.

III

Assembly

Wood, metal and Swiss movement come together at the workshop. Each piece is tested, adjusted and signed before it leaves.

IV

Provenance

Every timepiece is delivered with a signed Certificate of Authenticity bearing its unique number — one of one, for ever.

Forty-two pieces. Not one more.
