Terms of sale.

These terms of sale ("Terms") apply to every order placed by a client, whether consumer or business, with BROTHERS IN TIME LTD, Company No. 13276971, VAT No. GB376669536, registered office at 22 Avon Drive, Bedford, Bedfordshire, United Kingdom, MK41 7AF, trading as "Lignum Aureum" (hereinafter "the Atelier").

Every order entails full and unreserved acceptance of these Terms, which prevail over any other document of the client.

The prices displayed on the site are expressed in pounds sterling, inclusive of all taxes (UK VAT at 20%), exclusive of delivery and any import duties. The Atelier reserves the right to amend its prices at any time; pieces are nevertheless invoiced at the rate in force at order confirmation.

As each timepiece is produced in a single example, the availability of a piece is confirmed individually by email within 48 working hours. The order becomes final upon receipt of full payment and the Atelier's written confirmation stating the serial number and the provenance register entry.

Payment is made, at the client's choice, by credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through our secure provider Stripe, or by bank transfer. For orders above £50,000, a two-stage payment plan may be offered on request.

No piece is dispatched before funds have actually cleared.

Timepieces are dispatched by insured carrier (Ferrari Group or Brink's) in a named case, within five to ten working days throughout mainland United Kingdom. Delivery is complimentary on all timepieces. For destinations outside the United Kingdom, the client is liable for any applicable import duties and taxes.

Transfer of risk takes place upon delivery of the case to the client, against signature and presentation of identification.

In accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the consumer client benefits from a fourteen-day period from receipt of the piece to exercise the right of cancellation, without having to give a reason.

The piece must be returned intact, in its original case together with the certificate of provenance, to the Atelier's address. Insured return costs are borne by the Atelier in this case. Reimbursement takes place within fourteen days following inspection.

In accordance with regulation 28, this right does not apply to pieces engraved, monogrammed or made to the client's personal specifications.

Every timepiece carries an international five-year warranty covering manufacturing defects of the movement and case. Precious woods and hand finishes are covered by a separate two-year aesthetic warranty. The warranty does not cover normal wear, damage resulting from shock, non-compliant immersion or third-party intervention.

Independently of this commercial warranty, the client benefits from the statutory rights provided by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in respect of satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose and description.

The Atelier offers a lifetime servicing programme on all its pieces. A complete revision is offered in the fifth year. Any intervention must be entrusted exclusively to the Atelier's watchmakers or to an approved partner, on pain of voiding the warranty.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Failing an amicable resolution, any dispute will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to the consumer's mandatory protective provisions.
